The currency charts are representations from numbers, of the quote of the currency of a country relative to another currency of another country, and is plotted from the point of view of the financial institution that regulates these values.

To analyze the currency charts must consider:

1) the currencies participating in the currency charts.

2) the order and categorization of the money: it is not arbitrary.

3) the numbers representing the trading of currencies.

The currencies that are involved in currency charts are the representation in paper of the currencies from all the world. It can not take into account all world currencies in currency charts. Therefore, the currencies that are plotted in currency charts are those representing countries with greater economic stability. These include: the U.S. dollar (present in almost all pairs of forex market quotation), the euro, Japanese yen, Swiss franc and sterling pound. These currencies, exchanged worldwide, have a three-letter sign indicating the corresponding currency. Therefore, the currencies participating in the currency charts are represented as follows: USD (U.S. Dollar) - EUR (Euro) - YPS (Japanese yen) - GBP (Pound) - and others.

The order as presented in the foreign exchange currency charts represents, on the one hand, the currency is bought (the first of the pair) and, second, the quote currency (the second of the pair). The currencies are traded in pairs, so, on the currency charts you can read, eg EUR / USD.The euro is the base currency, and, the currency being bought or sold for another currency, in this case is the USD, the counter currency. The categorization of the currencies in the currency charts is a function of the importance of currency in the global economy. The main pairs plotted at the currency charts are: EUR / USD - USD / JPY - GBP / USD - USD / CHF

The numbers visible on the currency charts represents the currency quote. In the pair GBP / USD 1.6612 1.6616: it’s operating on sterling currency and U.S. dollars. The first is the base currency and the second is the counter currency. The currency charts are established from the standpoint of the bank. Then, a financial institution buys a pound GBP 1.6612 dollars per investor and sells at 1.6616 dollars.A way around: the investor buys a pound GBP 1.6616 USD and sells at 1.6612 USD.
